About Chichli
Chichli is a small town in Narsimhapur in Madhya Pradesh. Geographically it cordinates at 22.83°North and 78.82°East and has an average elevation of 349 metres (1,145 feet). Located at about 200 km from Bhopal, the region the watered by Sakkar and Seeta reva rivers which makes the region fertile. The larger Narmada River is 26 km away. The region participated in the independence movement. In 1932 during mass protest of Satyagrah, Gauradevi and Mansharam sacrificed their lives in police firing.
The town is popular for creating brass pots. Since a variety of metal pots are created here, the town is also famous as the “Brass Township”. According to the census of 2001, the population of Chichli was 9250. The avg. literacy rate of Chichli is 66 percent. Hindi is the official language of Chichli.
